- The best-reviewed shared Þórsmörk super jeep tours start in South Iceland (Hvolsvöllur, or Brú base camp on road 249), not in Reykjavík; Reykjavík transfers are excluded on Midgard's listing.
- You cannot take a rental car into Þórsmörk: the Krossá crossing is forbidden by rental contracts and river damage is not insured.
- 'Super jeep' on some listings is a lifted van on big tyres, not an open jeep.
- A super jeep day includes short walks only; the hiking day tour (May-October) has 3-5 hours on foot.
- The Highland Bus only runs in summer and has no guide.
